We had to evacuate on Monday due to the fires. It was a bit crazy trying to pack up baby stuff, valuables, important papers plus stuff for a dog and 2 cats! I remember myself saying, "We have to save the cookie jar!" Sounds weird but it was my great grandmother's and I remember getting cookies from it when I was little when my mom baked. I want Colin to have that same experience in the future.
One of our friends took us in which was extremely generous considering they would have to house our zoo. Everyone has asked us if it was stressful since we could have lost our home. Well, it's just amazing how Colin can make the most horrible situation into a pleasant one. He amazed us on Tuesday morning when he held his head up the entire Tummy Time. This was an exciting first!
